Celebrating Connections: An Exhibition of Contemporary Pacific Artists
November 2 - 27, 2010
The Arts at Mark's Garage, 1159 Nu’uanu Ave. (corner of Nu’uanu and Pauahi), Honolulu, HI 96817

Aloha and warm greetings!
2010 marks the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Center for Pacific Islands Studies (CPIS) at the University of Hawai‘i at Mänoa. As part of the yearlong celebration, the center has scheduled a series of events, one of which will include an exhibition of works by the seventeen Pacific artists whose creations have been featured on the cover of The Contemporary Pacific (TCP) journal.  In keeping with the overall theme of the anniversary—this exhibition highlights shared links among Pacific artists in the Pacific and beyond, and the diverse array of contemporary artistic expressions that are being produced throughout the wider Pacific region.
