An exhibition catalogue has been published to accompany the travelling 

exhibition, Easter, Island, Myths and Popular Culture. The book is heavily 

illustrated and contains all of the text from the exhibition's 39 panels. 

The 

book includes a discussion of the stone figures (moai), the Easter 

Islanders, and explorers such as Captain Cook and Thor Heyerdahl. It's main 

focus is an extensive consideration of the representation of the island in 

comic books, cartoons, computer games, music, animation, and film. With 

subject contributions from Roy Smith, Martyn Harris, Frieder Wahl, and Dan 

Bendrups.
