PIMA and VKS call for news relating to contemporary visual arts in the Pacific

The Pacific Islands Museums Association (PIMA) and the Vanuatu Cultural Centre (VKS) are putting out a call for any news relating to contemporary visual arts in the Pacific.

PIMA and the VKS co-author 'Pacific Artnotes', a news column on Pacific arts in 'Art Monthly Australia', and we welcome all contributions for content. This might include information about upcoming exhibitions, workshops, conferences, lectures, festivals or even news from institutions about new acquisitions or new staff members. As this is a monthly column, we welcome any submissions at any time, however items relating to events should arrive at least a month in advance of their occurrence. For example, items to be included in the November column should be received by 1 October.

The inaugural edition of Pacific Artnotes (October 2008) is attached below to give you an idea of what we are producing. Please help us make this a truly representative column by letting us know what is happening in YOUR part of the Pacific.

Contributions can be sent to: pacificmuseums@gmail.com or museumfriends@vanuatu.com.vu

Please distribute this email to members of your networks who may also have information to contribute!
