Each year the Getty Foundation awards Collaborative Research Grants to scholarly teams of two or more individuals to pursue interpretive research projects that offer new explanations of art and its history. We strongly encourage collaboration between university and museum-based scholars, and project teams must include at least one art historian. Project funding typically relates to the preparation of a scholarly exhibition or publication, with the emphasis on the early stages of research.
Anthropology at the Australian National University is a large and thriving graduate program. The combination of teaching and research in anthropology at the ANU, in Canberra, Australia's national capital, is the largest such constellation in Australia. Our excellent academic staff and facilities have earned us a strong national and international reputation. Many of our graduates have achieved distinction in academic and public positions and in consultancy work in Australia and overseas.
